In 1978, we started out as the Energy Shed, selling wood stoves, wood fireplaces and other energy alternatives to help the southern Minnesota area with the energy crisis of the late 1970’s. As the energy crisis subsided in the 1980’s we changed our name to Energy Products and Design, and found gas fireplaces were an exciting, clean and inexpensive alternative to burning firewood. Today we offer a wide variety of wood, gas, electric, pellet and corn hearth products and services including: Fireplaces, Stoves, Mantles, Stonework, Outdoor fireplaces, Barbeque Grills, and more.

We enjoy, and believe we're pretty good at, helping you design your fireplace. Our customers wishes range from a standard wood stove which doesn't need much in the way of design, to an eye catching work of art with a fireplace.
